When working with copper piping there is a risk of burns so keep away from skin and wear goggles and gloves at all times. We also worked to the Health and Safety Act 1974.

Method statement

We first got our PPE on. Then we made our way to the copper pipe in the bathroom and turned off the water. Then removed the pipe that had been damaged also putting a bucket and dust sheet to protect the floor so no risk of wet floors or getting through flooring to the ceiling below. Then we cut a bit of copper to size and soldered it together to seal the gap and put it back in place and fit all together and check if leaks or any problems and then finish (plus clearance).
