The common defects to plastering

·      Lumps in wall if not mixed well enough

Risk assessment

·      Falling from hop up or other objects
·      Hearting neck
·      Plaster getting in open wounded
        

We wear correct PPE. To prevent these risks from happening. To stop plaster from getting in open wounded’s cover up or keep its free form touching plaster. Then to stop hearting of neck don’t bend if to much back to stop blood getting all over body try tack a few rests of neck and to stop falling of hop up or other objects be carful and find a better why of keeping safe on plat forms. We also worked to the Health and Safety Act 1974.



Method statement

We first got our PPE on, and then we made our way to the room were we got all the floor coved and protected to start making plaster and to work. We got are tool out and started skrim and pva ceiling. Then started mix up a batch of plaster, we put 2/4 of the water in the mixing bucket and then started to mix with the plaster will a good thick and smooth mix but not to thick as it will make it hard to work with. After we applied to ceiling got rid of left over and clean for the next coat and then what will be last 1 ready for polishing to a smooth finish. Then after all the check for any last touches and pack away (plus clearances).

We have inspected your ceiling and found you have cracks that were coursed by movement on the ceiling so we shall re-plaster it, to carry out the repairs we will.

 Protect floors, pva and skrim the cracks on ceiling. 

Then we shall mix up plaster and applied to the area.

Get rid of leftover plaster and mix a last coat for a finish and polish on ceiling.

The check for any last touches before cleaning all up and packing away.

Risk assessment

·      Cutting finger with shears
·      A reaction to wall paper paste 

We wear correct PPE. To prevent these risks from happening. To stop paper cuts handle paper lightly and carefully so that we shall not, then to stop cutting finger with shears use carefully and now were your hand is all times and to stop reaction to wall paper paste wear gloves or keep off skin contact to keep safe. We are working to the health and safety act of 1974.




Method statement

We first got our PPE on, and then we made our way to the area of wall to work out the level lines for the wallpaper to hang on wall and to make it easy to keep it in line and look good. We started to make up a wallpaper paste and then cut a bit lining paper to size and paste well getting all the sides and corners. Then put on wall to hang and the using a hanging brush smooth all down and till sticking to wall and shall do this till all finished and made any last touches and pack away (plus clearances).
