The common Defects of inspection covers

We will wear the correct PPE,  wear goggles to stop mortar mix getting in eyes and then to wear boots  that will stop your feet getting crushed form dropping a heavy manhole and cover any wounds (gloves) so that it can not get in then we will be working to the (HSE) standers and they health and safety 1974 act.




Method stament

 We shall put on our correct PPE on before we start the install inspection cover to be well protected. we removed the existing man hole and get rid of it then we will brush lose mortar and dust so we can start to lay a fresh mix of mortar to install a new man hole cover. Then we start to mix sharp sands and cerment together to create the mortar mix then we apply that to the existing man hole cover brick wall and placed the frame and levelled it. Apply around the frame to give it a strong hold and to give it a nice finish by keeping it all flushed, after we shall clean up and do any last minute touches.

Replace it with a new one thats stronger and better.
      Then we will finish the last touches that need to ne done ( plus clearance).

    The group where given the task of replacing a manhole. The group carried out the well with Joe imputing more in to the task. Well done good effort. Please make sure the whole group reads through before posting.

    Your method statement doesn’t mention the removal of the existing manhole cover. Your quote is not broken down enough to work out all the costs and overheads.
