Everybody has to wear correct ppe. We put up netting to stop falls and objects from falling and put the first set of scaffolding boards to a floor to protect the general public. Will be working to the working at height regulations 2005, (HSE) and they health and safety act of 1974.




Method statement


Before we start on your roof to repair the hip tiles and ridge we put on they correct PPE and we shall do the job to the regulations of working at height 2005 and (HSE) as well and they health and safety act of 1974. now we will set up a tower and move to the area of where you need hip tiles replaced and ridge then find old and damaged hip and ridge tiles and skip then and replace with new hip and ridge tile after that is done and we checked the work and we will finish the last touches that need to be done plus clearance.

Before we start on replacing your felt and batten we put are PPE on to protect us and any other things needed to protect you and the public will be doing it to the (HSE) and the health and safety act 1974 and working at height regulations 2005. so we shall start to get scaffolding up and around your house to then tip of rotten batten and ript felt so that we can skip it and start to apply the new felt we get. then when felt has been applied all round the roof we start to mark out battens to place were original concrete or slate tiles
after all that is done and checked that all they battens and felt are well applyed  then we will finish the last touches that need to be done plus clearance.

     Some nails that have a short life span start to  become rusty if been installed with wrong with nails
     Concrete tiles it can be they can break at any point because you don’t know the strength of the tile because it can be something wrong with a part of they inside and they way it’s made.
   They lasting for a roof of its uses.

Method statement

Before we start on your roof repair we need to put our correct PPE on to keep safe and put up any protection to your house if need and access the area . Then the scaffolding shall be put up for it to be easy to get to your roof.  After we shall be moving all materials up to roof so makes less mess and keeps it tidy around out side for you. We should get the skip
delivered on time to use. Then we shall rip all tiles out and keep the non-damaged ones and put them back with the same cement tiles we got and moved up on the roof. Then start to put in the galvanised nails after all that is done and we checked that they are all okay then we will finish the last touches that need to be done plus clearance.
