The existing bays of the project 

These are the existing bays. The project is to refurbish the area and all bays inside up to standards, this is the list of all things need to be done  and the existing pics of the bays, also specification is included as well and  all the work need to be done on the 28th March and all handed in. 

Bay 1: Used as a store

Bay 2:  Plasterboard inside 1 hour, Plaster 10 hours, Skirting 30 mins, Dado 30mins (1m off floor), Architrave in and out on doorframe 40 mins, Fix door frame 40 mins, Sand, Fill, Painting and Gloss 2 hour and 30 mins. Plasterboard out side 20 mins and Plaster outside 2 hours.

Bay 3:  Fill, Sand, Paint and Gloss 2 hours and 30 mins, Architrave 20 mins, Patch repair 20 mins, Plaster 2 hours, Splice door frame 40 mins, dado and skirting outside 1 hour.  Gloss, sand, fill and Paint outside 2 hours.

Bay 4: Plasterboard inside 1 hour, Plaster 10 hours, Skirting 30 mins, Dado 30mins (1m off floor), Architrave in and out on doorframe 40 mins, Fix door frame 40 mins, Sand, Fill, Painting and Gloss 2 hour and 30 mins. Plasterboard out side 20 mins and Plaster outside 2 hours.

Bay 6: Patch and repair wall 1 hour, plastering 2 hours, Sand, Fill, Painting and Gloss 2 hour and 30 mins and Finish flooring 30 mins.

Bay 7: Patch and repair 1 hour, Repair tiles 40 mins, Sand, Fill, Painting and Gloss 2 hour and 30 mins, Architrave 20 mins.

Bay 8: Plasterboard 30 mins, Plastering 5 hours, Skirting 30 mins, Dado 30mins, Architrave in and out on doorframe 40 mins, Sand, Fill, Painting and Gloss 2 hour and 30 mins.

Bay 16: Fix door frame 1 hour, Architrave 20 mins, Tiles 1 hour, Dado 30mins, Sand, Fill, Painting and Gloss 2 hour and 30 mins.

Bay 20: Plaster 3 hours, Skirting 30mins, Architrave 20 mins, Fix door frame 1 hour, Plasterboard out side 20 mins, Sand, Fill, Painting and Gloss 2 hour and 30 mins. Plasterboard out side 20 mins and Plaster outside 2 hours.

Specification

General

All works to be carried out to current codes of practice. Workshop to be kept clean and tidy at all times with all waste materials in skip. Working hours will be Monday 10:30-13:00, Wednesday 9:00-11:00, 13:30-15:30, Thursday 10:30-13:00, 13:30-15:30. All works to be completed by 28^th March 2013. All PPE is to be worn at all times. Submission of quote and schedule of works required. A blog of the project is to be kept by every one and to include photos of progression at least once a week. There are 20 bays marked on drawing 001 dated 17/1/13 to be refurbished.

Stud Work

The rear, side elevations, ceiling and pipe boxing to be formed out of 62X 38mm CLS, front elevations to be formed with 87 X 38mm CLS. Vertical studs to be spaced at maximum 400mm centres and noggings at 1200mm centre from floor finish.

Door linings

111 x 21mm PAR door lining to suite 762 x 1981mm door.

Sub-Floor

Floor to each bay to have a sub-floor frame of 41 x 20mm PAR softwood batten fixed to concrete.

Plaster boarding

12.5mm plasterboard to be fixed to stud wall according to code of practices generally for partitions, screws are located at 300mm centre’s (200mm centres at external angles). Generally for ceilings, the screws are located at 230mm centres within the field of the board and 150mm centre’s at board ends. Generally for encasement systems, screws are located at 150mm centres. However, these general guidelines may vary depending upon the system being used and so reference must be made to the relevant system literature.

Floors

90 x 15mm PAR softwood square edge floor boards fixed to sub floor frame and finished with two full coats of clear floor varnish.

Plastering

Apply multi finish plaster to plasterboard in accordance with http://www.british-gypsum.com/pdf/DS-110-01%20Thistle%20MultiFinish.pdf

Skirting, Dado and Architrave.

Install 90mm skirting to junction of floor and walls. Dado to be fixed at a height of 1000mm from floor finish to top of dado. Architrave to be fixed around door openings with a 10mm margin.

Decoration/ Finishes

All walls, ceilings and woodwork to be filled and rub down to give flat surfaces ready for application of paint.  All surfaces to be dust free and clean before decorating.

All new plaster finishes to be painted with one coat of mist coat and two coats of emulsion. Previous painted surfaces to receive two coats of emulsion. All new woodwork to be coated with two coats of Acrylic primer/undercoated and one coat acrylic gloss. Previous painted wood work to be coated with one coat of acrylic primer/ undercoat and one coat of acrylic gloss.  Wooden floors to be coated with two coats of clear floor varnish. Concrete floor to be coated with two coats of floor paint.

·      Floor finish clear varnish

·      Woodwork white gloss

·      Walls magnolia emulsion

·      Ceilings white emulsion

·      Concrete floor grey.

Accept bay 1 no decoration required.

Approximately 1sqm of wall tiling to be applied to bays 2,3,6,7,13,14,15 and 16.

Wall paper to be applied to rear elevation from top of skirting to bottom of dado to bays 4,5,8,9,10,12,19 and 20.
